The National Institute of Medical Expertise and Recovery of Work Capacity (INEMRCM), in partnership with the Red Cross Branch Bucharest District 5 and BEIA Consult International, is organizing an information session on the European project MOBILISE, followed by a practical training session dedicated to basic first aid.
The event will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, between 10:00 and 13:30, at the INEMRCM headquarters in Bucharest, Șos. Panduri no. 22, sector 5, bringing together representatives of MOBILISE consortium partners, Red Cross volunteers, medical specialists, and members of the local community.
At the opening of the event, the Head of the Red Cross Branch Bucharest District 5, Mrs. Ana Ungureanu, will present the current context and national perspectives of the European project MOBILISE, as a partner in the consortium. Subsequently, Red Cross volunteers will conduct interactive sessions on the importance of lifesaving skills, principles of first aid provision, demonstrations of correct defibrillator use, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, and the Heimlich maneuver, with the direct participation of those present.
At the end, a session including a dialogue with the participants will be deployed, and in this respect, feedback questionnaires will be provided. The date of the next meeting will also be scheduled, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between partner institutions and supporting community preparedness for rapid response in critical medical situations. The activity is organized in the accordance with the existing Partnership Agreement between the Red Cross Branch Bucharest District 5 and INEMRCM, with the objective of developing lifesaving skills and preparing the community for effective interventions.
